Terms & Conditions

Only the participants who have an order in place and registered for the training will be accepted into the meeting in Teams.

A certificate of attendance will be provided after the training to all participants.

All the questions that could arise during the training should be placed on the Q&A section or raising the hand. Mics and video of the participants will be muted as a rule for this meeting.

All the pipettes and consumables used in this training will be from Eppendorf.

The session will not be recorded.
Participants may cancel their registration up to 7 days before the event and either request a refund or transfer their registration to the next event. Those who are unable to attend after this period may apply to participate in the next event, but refunds will no longer be available.
The presentation will not be shared with the participants.

Training objective:
At the end of the seminar, participants will pipette in accordance with the recommendations of ISO 8655, recognize sources of error, and know how to clean and maintain pipettes. Upon request, each participant will receive a certificate of attendance.

Agenda:
1. 10:00 a.m.: Theory, 1 hour
2. Bio-break: 30 min
3. 11:30 p.m.: Practical session, 1 hour

Number of participants limited to 50.

Seminar contents:

Theoretical part:
• Fundamentals of pipetting
• Piston-stroke dispensing systems: air-cushion vs. direct-displacement systems
• Advantages of electronic pipettes and dispensers
• Factors influencing pipetting accuracy: pipettes, tips, technique, liquid properties, environment
• Correct pipetting technique: immersion depth, holding angle, pre-rinsing, aspiration and dispensing of liquid
• Cleaning and maintenance
• Overview of testing and calibration according to ISO 8655:2022

Practical part
In the remote training, we provide hands-on instruction in the correct handling of manual pipettes and dispensers, as well as pipetting techniques for viscous and volatile liquids. The demonstrations are conducted live via camera. If all participants have access to the required materials (pipettes, consumables, liquids), they can also actively carry out the exercises.

Speakers:
Certified Liquid Handling Trainer

Seminar venue:
MS Teams

Target group:
Laboratory users and employees who work with pipettes and are responsible for maintenance and quality assurance.

Maintenance and Certification

Preventive maintenance is a schedule of planned service measures aimed at the prevention of unexpected downtimes and failures through routine maintenance and early detection of problems. ,Our certification services ensure the compliance with legal guidelines and standards. Standardized working provides for an uncomplicated validation of your system, from the implementation to the shut down.,Be ensured that, thanks to the regular maintenance, calibration and certification service performed by our trained lab service technicians, your precision instruments will continuously achieve reproducible results.

Unique Universal-Concept – spin more for less

The swing-bucket rotor S-4xUniversal cannot only spin volumes up to 4 x 1 L, with the unique universal adapters it makes lab life even easier: For the first time, this innovative system allows centrifugation of tubes, plates, and bottles without the need to change centrifuge rotors, rotor buckets, or adapters.

Increase Your Input and Expand Your Output

New rotor FA-6x250 extends application range of large benchtop Centrifuges 5910 Ri and 5920 R. This includes harvesting of bacteria, algae and yeast, as well as mammalian cells in vessels up to 250 mL.
